Zophar laughed quietly to himself as he observed from his dimention. The fools had defeated the red fiend, as he knew they would. He knew that the so called 'heros of Althena' and his fiends would be no match for them. Soon the red dragon would have its power again... things were going exactly as he planned.
The Destiny rocked slightly in the waves as all on board looked at the sight before them. Pentagulia, the so-called "holy city of Althena." The city looked dark and foreboding as black clouds swirled above it with the occasional lightning bolt piercing the air.
Lucia clenched a fist as her friends were silent around her. This was the time, she knew what she must to. Striding boldy to the bow of the Destiny she threw one of her arms upward and cried out.
"DRAGONS OF ALTHENA COME FORTH!"
The call echoed in the minds of all the dragons of Althena. The black and blue flew past the Destiny, roaring in their power.
"This is it! Let's go!" Ruby cried, letting her power overcome her and manifesting in her grand form of the red dragon over the Destiny.
"Let's rock!" Nall cried out as he appeared next to her.
The four dragons curled gracefully through the air towards the city. Almost as if planned, they all released their breath weapons at once. Ice, fire and other destructive forces curled through the air. As if in some unspoken agreement, each dragon targeted the tower that had belonged to the one who had controlled their power.
The towers exploded, collapsing beneath the dragons onslaught. Within seconds, Pentagulia had been reduced to near ruins by the power of the dragons of Lunar.
"Mega-Cool!" Lemia cried excitedly.
"Read 'em and weep Zophar!" Ronfar chipped in.
"They did it... Pentagulia is destroyed," Jean said, quietly awed by the power that have been displayed.
The celebration was short lived as an evil force settled over the ship, causing everyone to fall silent. Deep and mocking laughter followed.
"Zophar..." Lucia identified.
"YOU FOOLS," Zophar's voice boomed, "YOU'VE DONE EXACTLY AS I PLANNED."
"What are you talking about?" Hiro called out. "We've destroyed your city!"
"HA HA HA, JUST AS I PLANNED. I MADE SURE TO TAKE OUT DRAGON INSURACE. NOW THAT PENTAGULIA HAS BEEN DESTROYED, I'LL MAKE MILLIONS."
Zophar's announcement was met with stunned silence as his presense faded with, Zophar's laughter drifting across the water.
"Well... you have to admit it was a good plan," Lemina admitted.
