The group heads back to Junon. Something is missing here, the large cannon is no longer there. The group takes a special elevator all the way down to an underwater reactor. Shinra then starts to get away with another Huge Materia, but before the group can stop them a Carry Armor android attacks them, which gives Shinra a chance to flee. There is another submarine there, and they easily commandeer it. With some quick manuvering in the sub, they manage to sink the escaping sub, recover the Huge Materia, and now have a submarine to use at their leisure.
Ronfar breaks into song. "We all live in a Yellow Submarine, a yellow submarine, a yellow submarine! We all...ARGH!" He suddenly is stopped by you-know-who.
Cait Sith informs them of another Huge Materia being taken away from Junon towards Rocketown. The group hurries up to Junon, but they are too late, as the ship carring the Materia escapes. So, they hop into the Highwind, and leave for Rocketown quickly. Arriving at the rocket, they are forced to fight Rude and his attack squad. The rocket takes off before the group can get off, and it is locked with a collision course with Meteor. They move to an automated Escape Pod, but get the ship's Huge Materia before leaving. The rocket collides with the Meteor causing a huge explosion, but to avail. The meteor is still there, and ready to strike.
"Well, that was a good five minutes of my life, I'll never get back," says Lemina.
They return to Bugenhagen's Lab in Cosmo Canyon, and he suggests that they return to the Ancient City where Aeris had been killed. He then explains that her White Materia is the key to something called Holy, which is the only thing that can stop Meteor. There is a hidden key hidden somewhere, "where light cannot reach". After some exploring, they find it in an underwater cave. After returning the key to Bugenhagen in the Ancient City, you learn that Aeris has already prayed for Holy. But, because of Sephiroth's presence, it cannot leave to destroy Meteor. Cait Sith again informs the group that Shinra has moved the Junon Cannon to Midgar and has hooked up the Huge Materia that they have gathered to it, to make it even more powerful.
"So, why were they stopping them from gathering the Huge Materia again?" asks Lucia.
The Diamond Weapon sensing the build up in Mako Energy moves towards Midgar. The group lands the Highwind and fights the Weapon.
"Yes! Protect the evil Shinra!" says Hiro.
"Now strike it down with all of your hate, and your journey towards the dark side will be complete!" says Ronfar.
Distracted by the team, it moves onward towards Midgar, but not on it directly. The Sister Ray, as Scarlet calls it now, fires up towards the north and destroys Sephiroth's barrier, but the blast goes clear through the Diamond Weapon killing it instantly, but not before the Weapon fires at Midgar doing extensive damage, and killing Rufus. The troops then parachute into Midgar and after winding their way through it find Reno, Rude, and Elena. They fight them again. This time however, it is for the last time.
"I've heard that one before," comments Lemina.
After defeating them, they move on to fight Heidegger and Scarlet's new weapon, Prod Clod. After it's defeated, they move on, and finally come to Hojo, who wants to fire the Sister Ray again, but doing that will overload the reactors and destroy Midgar. But, he thinks he is feeding his "son", Sephiroth as he created his clone. The group fights through three deformed monstrousities of Hojo after being transformed by Mako energy directly from Jenova.
"I'm picking up a reoccuring theme here." says Ronfar.
"Which one?" says Jean.
After a quick meeting, Cloud tells the others that he is fighting not just for earth, but for justice against the death of his mother, and for using him the way he had.
"Oh that evil man," says Ronfar. "He just used me, got what he wanted, and left. Oh boo hoo! He didn't even call!"
After a day's wait, Cloud and Tifa get VERY close, and others go visit their loved ones, possibly for the last time.
"One can only hope."
The group now heads on over up to the now open North Crater and they enter. After going down long, winding, and dangerous paths, they arrive at the center of the deep and winding cave of the Crater. Here the group comes face to face with Jenova, herself. After defeating her, they fall into the very depths of the Lifestream where Sephiroth awaits. His first form has several parts, a head, torso, core, left, and right magics. Using all their strength, he is defeated, but he is far from finished. Sephiroth finally forms himself in a glowing form. The team finds themselves in a long tunnel of sorts and are surrounded by a bright light, while a choir of sorts sings a holy-sounding melody.
The group breaks into song in high pitched voices:
"You can't always get what you wa-ant!
You can't always get what you wa-ant!
You can't always get what you wa-ant!
But, if you try sometimes, you might find,
you get what you need!"
"You need to have seen this part of the game, as well as the video to get that one folks," says Lemina, apparently to no one.
After a long, and arduous battle, the group remains victorious. The power of Holy starts to be released, but something is holding it back. Cloud grabs his head, has if in pain.
The group quietly starts chanting, "Umm bop! Umm bop!"
Cloud finds himself face to face with Sephiroth, the real Sephiroth. He stands there smiling evily, then Cloud lets loose with a flurry of sword swings, and he falls at last. Cloud then snaps out of his daze, and grabs onto Tifa's hand before the ground that he is standing on gives way, and the group stands on the ledge helpless, as Holy starts to work. The Highwind dives down into the Crater, and it allows the other to get in, and fly to safety. Holy fires out towards Meteor, but it has already started to move down, and is directly above Midgar. Holy is holding off Meteor, but the conflicting energies is practically leaving Midgar. It may be too late. But, then the lifestream starts moving in and gathers with Holy to eliminate Meteor once and for all.
"And, in a last ditch effort to get rid of SLOWLY decending rock, which would gently touch down sometime next year, the Earth builds up a massive loogie to dispell the giant boulder," says Hiro.
The screen fades to black, and "500 years later" appears, then Red XIII is seen running along a field along with two smaller versions of himself.
"Wait how did he have kids?" asks Lemina.
"I don't know. Maybe, he's actually one of those transvestites," suggests Ronfar.
"You WOULD suggest that," growls Jean.
They reach the peak of a mountain, and in the distance, you can see what used to be Midgar overgrown with vegetation, and the screen fades to black, and the credits roll.
Everyone leaves the theater.
"So, well that was interesting, not!" says Lemina.
"Ack...*gasp*...*cough*"
They all turn and stare, as a cold, white faced man stumbles in.
"Sephiroth!" exclaims Lemina.
"Ah... hi."
"So, how have you been? You look like hell."
"Well, *cough* you ain't no picnic either. You try getting your ass kicked by some kid with spikey hair and an inferiority complex and see how you feel."
"Been there, done that."
"Zophar!" exclaims Hiro. "You would know, hee hee."
"Oh shut up!"
"Hey, Zophie!" says Ghaleon. "Who is the albino?"
Zophar grabs Ghaleon's bear and smacks him over the head with it. "Mind your business. Now, go find a game fitting for our friends."
"Yeah, whatever," says Ghaleon as he leaves, moping quietly.
"Is anyone afraid of me?" asks Sephiroth.
"Shut up," says Jean.
Sephiroth leaves crying.
"Now see what you've done!" says Xenobia to Jean.
Ronfar rubs a sore arm. "Yeah, she's been like this throughout the entire parody."
Jean leaves in a huff.
"What, is everybody leaving?" asks Hiro. "Well, Zophie, until next time."
"Yeah, like whatever!"
