"You need to keep your promise."
Cloud shakes his head. "I'm no longer in Soldier, and I'm not famous."
"Well, I'm going."
"What?"
"It's the only way to make sure you'll come along."
Cloud eventually agrees, but not before he gets Barret to cough up three grand for the job on the next reactor, he then starts whining about Marlene's schoolin' fund.
"Yeah, this terrorism stuff can be expensive in itself."
"Yeah, and that slum schoolin', talk about over priced!"
"OK Marline, you take care of things while we're gone."
"And remember, while we're out killing millions of people with our acts of terrorism, don't think of daddy as a mass murderer and start getting into the sauce to help ease the pain, which we apparently don't mind leaving you access too."
Before the group heads on out, they stop by one of the houses nearby, and Cloud picks up an "All" Materia.
"Now, kids!" says Ronfar in a motherly like voice, "What have I told you about leaving your materia just lying about, some smelly, spiky haired kid could just wonder in off the street, take it, and leave."
The group heads into the train again. But, as the train moves along, alarms go off, and messages of unauthorized personnel on board are heard.
"Danger! Danger! Will Robinson!"
As the group hurriedly travels from car to car, they eventually come to the last car.
"This is our stop." says Barret, "We'll have to jump."
Slowly, but surely, they all jump out of the fast moving train, and land in the tunnel of the train, seemingly without any problems.
"Watch out for that tree!"
However, upon being forced to jump prematurely, they find themselves before their desired target, and get progress because a field is blocking their path. But, as luck would have it, there is a port that they can jump into and progress onto the main reactor.
"Ah, those silly Shinra engineers! Leaving themselves vulnerable yet again."
They go through, and find themselves at the next reactor that they wish to destroy. The others of Avalanche have already arrived.
"Hey! How'd you guys get here so fast? Something smells fishy here, or is just Cloud?"
"Enough with the odor jokes already!"
The group of Barret, Tifa, and Cloud eventually make it down to the reactor. But, just before Cloud is able to put the explosive on the reactor, he grabs his head, and starts to keel over as if in pain.
"Oh no! It's that Hanson song again," says Jean.
Ronfar and Hiro very quietly start humming, "Um bop, um bop."
"STOP IT!" screams Lucia. "PLEASE, MAKE IT STOP!"
Cloud then flashes back to a memory of Tifa mourning for her father and then angrily damning, Shinra, technology, Mako energy, and Sephiroth for what he has done.
"Don't forget any movie with Sylvestor Stallone."
"Or William Shatner."
"Or SpiceWorld."
Cloud then regains his composure and then places the bomb. They all turn and run for the exit.
"Hey guys! You forgot the timer!"
They ride the elevator up to the upper level like before, only once they get to the long bridge end up getting surrounded by Shinra soldiers. The president of Shinra then walks down the long bridge behind them.
"So this is the great Avalanche."
"Mr. President."
"What the hell do ya think you are doing here, this place is going to blow to hell and take you with it."
"HaHaHa! Do you think I can be frightened?"
"Mr. President!" shouts Hiro. "Look out! It's Linda Tripp!"
"Ah!" screams Ronfar doing an impression of the president. "Where?! Where?!"
The president and Avalanche then exchange a few choice words with each other, but then the president escapes in a helicopter, and he sends the Air Buster, a mechanical soldier after them. After it is defeated, it explodes taking most of the bridge with it. Cloud falls but, grabs onto part of the bridge with one hand.
"Barret, I can't hold on much longer, promise me you'll take care of Tifa for me."
"And make sure Lassie gets fed."
"And tell Auntie Em, that I won't be home this Thanksgiving."
"And check to see if I left the iron on," adds Ronfar. They all stop to look at him. "What? You guys took all the good ones."
Then the reactor explodes, and Cloud looses his grip and falls into blackness. Tifa reaches out, but it's too late.
"Top of the world, ma!"
