Hiro and Ronfar walk along the crystal castle talking about this latest game, "So, how many more running gags are we going to do?"
"I don't know. I'm starting to get sick of the Engineering jokes."
"Well, they're out of Midgar, so we should be safe from them for a while."
A Shinra soldier comes in and starts shooting at Hiro and Ronfar. Bullets fire and ricochet off the walls but none of the bullets come within five miles of the two targets.
"Hey, it's a soldier from Shinra. What brings you here?"
"Assassination! I have engineering friends!" He shouts and starts firing again.
"What's with all the noise?" asks Lemina.
"Our friend here has come to kill us for making fun of his engineering friends."
"Ah, OK," she says and leaves, as the Soldier starts shooting again.
"Ah, man."
"What's wrong?"
"I'm supposed to be a loyal feared soldier," he weeps, "and I can't even kill anyone standing five feet away from me."
"Well, it's no laughing matter," says Hiro.
"Well, I wasn't trying to be funny."
"Oh, you don't have to worry about that."
"If you like, we can shake in fear in terror," offers Hiro in a kind voice.
"No, it's just not the same. I'm a bad guy, and we have to have bad aim. I'll just have to accept that. Die!" He then runs off screaming and firing his weapons.
"Ah, he's a good kid," says Ronfar.
"Yep, he sure is," agrees Hiro.
Sirens start flashing all over the place. "AH! We've got movie sign!"
Leaving the quiet village of Kalm, they come to small Chocobo Ranch out in the middle of a vast field.
"Ya know, I said, 'Dad, what we need is a place that is just in most ideal of locations.' But, noooo! He has to put our place of business in the middle of nowhere!" says Hiro.
At this Chocobo Ranch, a man by the name of Choco Billy...
"Naw, too easy," comments Lemina.
...sells Cloud a Chocobo Materia that would allow the group to pass through the nearby marshlands to get to the Mythril Mines without having to fight the very dangerous Midgar Zolom creatures. Doing so, they arrive at the entrance to the Mine to find a Midgar Zolom planted hideously on a tree.
"Oh Christmas tree! Oh Christmas tree!" sings Lemina.
Halfway through the mine, the group bumps into the Turks, including the man who destroyed the sector 7 slums and Elaine their newest recruit. The usual bad guy taunting occurs before the Turks leave, and the group continues through to the other side of the mountain pass through the mines.
"Now, go away, or I shall taunt you a second time. Oh, like you didn't know THAT one wasn't coming?" says Hiro apparently to no one.
As they walk along the terrain they come across a wooden area that they must cross. A young ninja girl attacks them, but is quickly overcome. After being beaten, she steals some money from them, and splits. Later on, they catch up with her, and after beating her again, Cloud manages to talk her into helping them.
"So what if you stole our money, we trust you to come along and fight to the death with us," says Lucia.
After journeying further onward, they find another Mako Reactor, this one however, happens to have a very large bird of some kind on it. Venturing closer out of sheer curiosity. They find a group of rebels who are protecting the large bird on top from approaching Shinra forces. Agreeing to help, the Shinra forces are easily turned back.
Moving onward yet again, they come to Junon Harbor. Here they find another town ravaged by the destructive tendencies of the Shinra. There is an elevator that goes up to the town above them, but the Shinra guards won't allow anyone onto the elevator. Going down the road, they hear a scream.
"I've fallin' and I can't get up," says Ronfar.
A little girl is being attacked by a vicious creature. Cloud and everyone rush in to the girl's rescue and slay the beast. The girl is gracious and gives Cloud a whistle.
"HEY! I wanted the tweet-tweet thingy! No fair!" whines Jean.
Then using is a dolphin helps Cloud get up above the high voltage wiring and climbs the structure up to Junon City above the harbor.
"And now, he gets to play with a dolphin?! Wah! No fair! No fair!" whines Lemina.
"Now, now Barret, you'll get to play with the dolphin some other time," says Jean, in a motherly voice.
"Ah, but Mo-om!" whines Lemina.
"No buts little Barret. Now be a good boy, and just sit here while little Cloud has all the fun."
Going up to the harbor, Cloud gets caught, but the captain just thinks that they are late, and gets Cloud into uniform. He then gives Cloud some instructions on how to march and position his rifle and such. Then, they sneak into a televised march of the soldiers to get to the main area, of which the new president of Shinra arrives. Then, after doing some of these moves for President Rufus. They sneak aboard an exiting ship found for the far port of Costa Del Sol. But, part of the way there alarms go off, not because of the group being there, but because Sephiroth is aboard. The group splits up into two groups. Cloud and two others go after Sephiroth, while the others watch out for any trouble from Shinra.
"Ah, yeah, sure. Ah, you go ahead. We'll stay here and, ah, um, guard the deck! Yeah. That's what we'll do. Yeah. Sure." says Hiro.
Going down into the deck, several Shinra soldiers lie dead, after a quick battle with Sephiroth, he flees, and the ship arrives at the port. Everyone gets off unharmed.
Moving onward, the group continues onward until they come to Mt. Corel. Climbing up it, they come to another reactor, but this one is closed, and end going across several old abandoned train tracks until they arrive at a bridge, and ultimately at North Corel. A city, if it can be called that, which lies in ruins thanks to, guess who? Barret runs off, and is instantly ganged up on the people there, who blame him for their conditions, and he blames himself as well.
"Boy," says Lemina, "This reminds me of the slums I have back in Midgar...at least that I used to have."
"Except this place is much more of a dump," adds Hiro.
