Alex and Luna were asleep in their home in Burg. A full 7 years have passed since the battle with Ghaleon. Everyone was finally settling down. Just then Alex and Luna were awoken by a rumbling. Not a large one, but a rumbling at that.
"What's going on?" asked Luna groggily as she woke up.
"Sounds like an Earthquake," answered Alex. The rumbling stopped. "Let's go check outside," said Alex as he leapt out of bed.
Right outside their house was a small chasm, 3 feet across, and half a foot wide. "That's strange," Luna said scratching her head, "we don't get many earthquakes around here.
"At least no one's hurt," Alex said. Luna nodded in agreement.
"Alex! Luna!" They could hear Nall flying towards them. "Did you feel that?!" Nall screamed. Both Alex and Luna nodded.
"I wonder what caused it?" Alex said puzzled.
"Luna did you fall of the bed again?" Nall asked sarcastically.
"Nall!" Luna screamed, "I'll get you for that!" Just as Luna started running towards Nall, they heard someone laughing.
"Ho, ho, ho, ho, that's rich!" Alex could recognize that laugh anywhere.
"Dyne!" Alex shouted out.
Dyne emerged from the shadows. "Not so loud my'boy. I'm dead, remember," Dyne said, still laughing.
"It's a pleasure to see you again, Dyne." Luna said politely.
"It always amazed me how you could go from mad to polite so easily," Dyne told her. "Actually, I came for Nall." Nall looked at him puzzled. "You see, since Quark is dead, Nall has to take his place. I will take him to the Dragon Cave, where he can learn to become a true White Dragon. It's been seven years, you had long enough to rest."
"I guess this is good-bye Nall," Alex said sadly.
"Don't be silly," Nall responded, "I'm not dying. As soon as I complete the process I'll be able to visit. Although you might not want me to since I'll be so big."
"Then we'll see who causes the earthquakes when they fall." Luna told Nall. She had to get him back somehow.
"Amazing, simply amazing," Dyne said laughing. "Let's go Nall."
The two started to leave. "Don't be sad Alex," Luna told him, "Nall will be back soon."
"It's not that," Alex responded "it's just that quake that's worrying me. There's something strange about it."
"Cheer up Alex!" Luna said trying to soothe her husband. "It's Mel's birthday soon. We should find him a gift."
"It's Mel's birthday already?" Alex said to himself. "Wow." The couple walked back into the house to eat breakfast forgetting about the quake.
