When the green light dissipated, they found themselves back in the chamber of Vogeron. "Greetings, I see that you passed the trial; which I thought you would."
"Now," Alex asked, "could you tell us about Kane?"
"All in good time dear friend, all in good time."
"What do you mean, all in good time!" Mathis protested. "We passed your damn trial! Now tell us what we want!"
"Calm down Mathis. Before I can tell you everything about your destiny, I must first unlock the hidden powers that dwell deep inside your souls."
"Destiny? What are you talking abou-" before Mathis could finish, a blinding light filled the chamber, transporting them all to different rooms within the tower.
Jezza found herself in a room all alone except for a man in his late thirties. He was tall with light brown hair. "Greetings Jezza. I have been awaiting this moment for a long time."
"What are you talking about? Who are you anyway?"
"Jezza, I am your father."
Jezza was stunned. The man standing in front of her was her father? Could it really be her father? "You're just another illusion aren't you! You're just here to mess with my mind!"
The man shook his head. "No Jezza. I am your father. However, you could say I am an illusion for I am not physical."
"What the hell are you talking about!"
The man began to shake his head. "Jezza. I cannot believe that you've turned into such a fiery young woman. And in such a short amount of time. I cannot believe that you have changed so much. Changed so much because of him."
Jezza's face blushed a bright red. "Him? Wha, what are you talking about?"
"Ha, ha, ha, ha! Jezza, listen to me. I am your father, but not in body. I am only a spirit. My body is laying in a heap of lifeless husks at the bottom of a pit, with all the rest that were drained by the lifeshaver. Your mother too, has been killed, our very energy powering the tower of Megalensis which will bring upon our ultimate destruction."
Jezza remained silent, knowing that this apparition was telling the truth. Salty tears began flowing from her eyes. "Father. It's really you."
"Oh, Jezza. How I wish I could hug you right now. I would do anything just to hold you one last time. But, we have not the time for that. In order to stand a chance against Vargan, you must unlock the true power of the Fire Force that lies within you."
"How Father? How can I?"
"Remember in the Hall of Love? Remember the destructive power that you released?"
"No Father! Don't make me remember that!"
"But you must! To defeat The Empire, you must use that same power!"
"But I can't! It's, it's, it's..."
"It's evil." said Jezza's voice from somewhere.
"That's right!" Jezza agreed. "It's evil and should never be used again!"
"No!" screamed another version of Jezza's voice. "It's only evil if you use it for evil."
"But that kind of power can only be used for evil," answered the other voice. "A power of destruction, and death."
"Stop it!" Jezza screamed. "Just go away!"
"Jezza," her father said, "you have already accepted the fact that you are a member of the Fire Force, that's the first half. Now you must accept the power that was given to you. Use it, to save Lograndia."
"No Father! Don't go!" Her father disappeared in the darkness. "Father!" Jezza raised her arms and screamed this. As she did that, a ring of fire began to circle around her. "I, I, I," Jezza closed her eyes and concentrated. Suddenly, the ring expanded, creating a destructive wave of fire that filled the room. "I have the power!"
Aren found himself in a room with an old man. The man was bald, and very muscular. In fact, the only way you could tell that he was old was by his wrinkles. Aren instantly knew who this was. "Master Dreyken! Is that you!?"
The old man nodded. "Yes Aren, I am he."
"But how?! I saw you killed with my own eyes!"
"I was killed. This is only my spirit." Aren nodded. "I have watched you over the years Aren, and I believe that it is time."
"Time for what?"
"Time for you to learn the ultimate technique. It is time that I taught you the ultimate destructive force of ki. The Haken-Shinta-Ho."
"The Haken-Shinta-Ho," Aren said. He swirled the name around with his tongue, as if tasting an exquisite wine.
"Now Aren, watch, and watch carefully. By swirling your arms in a precise fashion, you can draw out ki from your surroundings. Then, by concentrating it all within your arms, you can fire it through your palms. Watch."
Dreyken began to swirl his arms around. Aren could feel the flow of ki around him going towards his master. "Haken."
Now, his arms began to tense up. To his surprise, it looked as if they were glowing with a white glow. Aren assumed that this was the large amount of ki that had been channeled into his arms. "Shinta."
Dreyken raised his arms toward the ceiling. He then lowered them to his chest. The bright light intensified. "Ho!" Dreyken outstretched his arms and a beam of light was projected. The light was so bright that Aren had to cover his eyes. When the light was gone, he was surprised to see that no damage had occurred to this room.
"Since this room is enchanted with the power of Vogeron, no damage was inflicted. However, if it had been a real room, there would literally be nothing in front of me. This technique has the power to level entire buildings. It also drains a lot out of you. You must be careful with it.
"I will Master, I will."
"Now Aren, I must go. I shall return to the spirit world. Remember this though, don't let the technique's of ki die with you. You must teach them to your children. Keep it alive."
"But Master, I don't have any children."
"Then make some. You do have a beautiful wife remember."
"I'm sorry Master. Maria is-"
"Dead? Nope! Maria is alive and well in the dungeons of Vargania."
"Maria's alive!"
"Yes, she is. Now go Aren, save this planet from the reign of Malachy!" As he said that, Dreyken vanished.
"Malachy? What did he mean 'reign of Malachy'. Is Malachy's revival that inevitable?"
