The next day Ronfar said goodbye to Mauri and his daughter Chloe. He then boarded the Dragonship Destiny.
On the way to Taben's Peak where Nall lived most of the time they picked up Jean and Lemina.
Lucia filled the two of them on the whereabouts of Hiro.
"If Zophar ever revives," said Lemina, "I'll mega kick his butt!"
Lucia smiled. "You are all such wonderful friends to me," she said.
"Taben's peak is in view," said Ronfar, "Leo said we should be there in about fifteen minutes."
They all joined Leo on the bridge as they approached Taben's Peak. After making their way up to the top, they were greeted by Nall.
"You're here about Hiro aren't you?" he said.
"Yes," replied Lucia, "do you happen to know where he is?"
"I do," answered Nall, "he's back when Alex began his quest to become Dragonmaster. Of course, he's captured just after Alex recieves the White Dragon Wings from Quark."
"Who's the person that takes him captive?" Lucia asked him.
"Her name is Xenobia," said Nall, "she happens to be leader of the Vile Tribe. When she first saw Hiro while she was disguised as Lemia Ausa. It was then that she decided to make him her personal slave."
Leo, Ronfar, Jean, and Lemina headed back down to the Destiny.
As Lucia started to go, Nall stopped her. "I want to go with them," he said to her.
"I don't think that's a good idea Nall," said Lucia.
"I don't care," replied Nall, "I just want a chance to see Alex again. One thousand years is a long time without your closest friend."
"I understand," said Lucia. "Okay you can come."
"If Nall's going," said a voice from inside, "then so am I!" A second later Ruby flew out and landed on Nall's shoulder. The three of them made their way down to the Destiny as well.
Once on board they headed directly to the Blue Spire. The group headed to the top of the Spire. Once there Lucia instructed them to touch the crystal. She then began casting a spell. A bright light enveloped them. After it disappeared they found themselves standing in front of the White Dragon's Cave.
Nall approached the cave.
"You miss your father don't you?" said Ruby. "Why don't you go see him?"
Nall shook his head. "For all we know it may already be too late," he said.
The sound of insane laughter could then be heard coming from the cave.
"It's Ghaleon!" said Nall. "Everyone hide!"
They all ran to some bushes nearby and hid in them.
Ghaleon ran out of the cave a second later.
Xenobia appeared beside him.
"Did you get that girl Luna like I told you to?" he asked her.
"I will," she replied, "after I get that boy Hiro." She then vanished.
"You'd better," he said as he ran off.
Hiro left Alex and Nall alone after Ghaleon had run off.
"Hello boy," said Xenobia as she appeared in front of him. "Remember me?"
"How could I forget a witch like you," said Hiro, "so why are you here?"
"Why," said Xenobia, "I'm here to do this!" She cast a rest litany and aimed it Hiro.
Hiro fought against the darkness that was attempting to overtake him. After a few minutes he passed out just as Alex showed up.
"Leave Hiro alone you witch!" screamed Alex. He ran at her swinging his sword.
Xenobia looked at him, laughed and disappeared with Hiro.
Alex fell to his knees in despair. "First Ghaleon kills Quark," he said, "and now Xenobia captures Hiro." He then heard a voice.
"Get up, Alex."
Alex looked up. Standing in front of him was a boy around his age with white and reddish brown hair. "How do you know my name?" he asked.
The boy shook his head. "It doesn't matter," he said, "just get up. Luna's in danger."
"What's your name?" Alex asked him.
The boy ignored the question. "Come on," he said, "my friends are waiting outside for us." He then ran off.
Alex shrugged and started following him.
