Time passes by as Ghaleon and Alisia grow closer and closer. Visions was now sixteen, and Ghaleon had proposed to Alisia. She heartily accepted, and the wedding was scheduled for the following month.
"Hey Ghaleon," asks Visions. "Do you mind if I call you dad? Thanks dad!! Would you help me with my Lunar history? I've a big exam next week."
"Of course I will my dear. I've quite an... er, extensive knowledge of the history of this land."
Ghaleon helps Visions study for her tests as Alisia walks in and notices them.
"They've grown so close together! She even calls him dad!"
Ghaleon walks over and kisses Alisia, helping her with her bags while Visions closes her books and yells:
"Hi mom!!!! Let's go shopping! Mother and daughter, me and you! C'mon!!!"
Ghaleon laughs as Visions grabs her mother's hand and drags her out to the ville.
"I know a store with the PERFECT dress mom! Next month, I'm gonna have you looking so pretty, that even the priest will have to swallow his breath!"
"Ha, ha! Okay sweetie!"
Alisia follows Visions throughout Rance Village, and suddenly she spots a familiar and unwanted site.
"Visions! Duck honey!"
Alisia hides Visions under a cart of oranges as Garland walks by. He evil eyes her and Alisia does the same, energy crackling around her clenched fist.
Garland turns around and walks upon Alisia. She calls forth a Red Dragon and incinerates Garland, he walks amidst it unscratched.
"Alisia my dear, you know that your power cannot harm me. Give up and surrender yourself to me."
"Never!!" growls Alisia. "Not even if it costs me my life!"
Unable to bear it any longer, Visions comes from underneath the cart and confronts Garland.
"I bet you're the bum who hurt my mom so long ago. Why don't you try and do that to me?"
"Not even if it costs you your life, dear Alisia? What if it cost you hers ! Surrender now, or I will kill your daughter."
"Try it you sorry sack of $#!+!!" yells Visions. She creates a powerful gale of wind, and blows Garland clean through a nearby building.
"Rotten b!+c#!!" shouts Garland, evaporating the rubble. He takes out a mini crossbow and fires two arrows at Visions.
"NO!!!" screams Alisia, jumping in front of her daughter. The arrows hit her deep in her chest, and she falls motionless onto the ground.
"MOMMA!!!!!"
Visions eyes turn a deep crimson, and she creates a gigantic F4 tornado, blowing Garland completely out of Rance Village. She picks up Alisia's body and runs home.
Ghaleon was reading one of Visions' books, when she burst into the house crying.
"Ghaleon, please!!! Help momma, she's hurt!!!"
Ghaleon quickly runs up and takes Alisia, placing her on her bed, and snaps the arrows in half.
"Alisia? Speak to me honey. Who did this to you? Who? I swear by Althena..."
"Gar... land. It... was Garland."
Ghaleon swallows down his anger, realizing that Alisia needs him there with her. He removes the arrows, Alisia grimacing a bit from the pain. Vision covers her wounds and breaks down crying.
"It's all my fault! If I would've stayed put..."
"It's not anyone's fault but that Garland, my dear," comforts Ghaleon.
Alisia slowly falls asleep, Ghaleon watching over her. Within due time she makes a slow recovery, but had lost all of her thunder power.
"It's only been a month, and you've completely lost your power since our wedding," worries Ghaleon. "This is most peculiar."
Alisia seemingly collapses in Ghaleon's arms, sets her down and checks on her.
"I'm sorry honey, I just felt a little dizzy. That's all."
Ghaleon feels Alisia's head and notices that she has a slight fever. Visions fetches a doctor whom presumes it to be sight case of meningitis, but Ghaleon thinks otherwise.
He calls Shrine Knight Slayzer in to check in on Alisia, and Viscera as well.
Alisia's refusal to wake up the net morning scared Ghaleon as he shook her and she came to after a good slap.
"Alisia my love, what illness has become you? Visions and I are worried sick."
"I don't know... AAHHH!!! My... my head!! It hurts!!"
Alisia writhes in pain as Ghaleon embraces her. She cries, leaning her head into his chest.
Visions comes in soon with Slayzer and Viscera.
"Ghaleon, what's happened to Alisia?" asks Viscera. "What's wrong with her?"
"She has a severe headache, shortness in her breathing, nausea, and she blacks out occasionally. For the sake of Althena, can you help her?"
"We can try my friend." states Slayzer. "How long has this gone on?"
"Not too long ago, she was hit with two arrows, and she hasn't felt better since."
"Poison!" growls Slayzer. "Damn poison."
"Do you have the arrows by chance?" asks Viscera.
Ghaleon hands Viscera one of the broken shafts from under Alisia's bed. Slayzer analyzes the shaft, and much to his chagrin...
"Mosfungus... Who the hell would use such a thing against a human being?"
He asks to speak to Ghaleon alone, Viscera walks with Visions outside. He turns to the frightened youth and with a heavy face, he tells her;
"Your... your mother is... just... going to sleep for awhile... just sleep."
"Slee... ep?"
"Yes... but don't worry, Ghaleon is there with her." Viscera lets a tear fall from his eye.
"Yeah... papa's there... with momma."
"Ghaleon, mosfungus is ultra-lethal, I'm amazed that she survived one full month, but I'm afraid that she won't last the night... I'm sorry my friend.
"No... Slayzer you're lying. My wife's going to live. This can't be... this CAN'T be happening to her!"
"Ghaleon... I'm sorry."
Ghaleon begins to cry as he looks over to his weakened wife. She was getting worse by the moment. He kisses her and looks into her pale blue eyes.
"She won't last much longer," informs Slayzer. "This would a prudent time to let her daughter say good bye."
Ghaleon wearily nods his head and Visions comes in, accompanied by Viscera.
"Visions sweetie," comforts Ghaleon. "Mommy's going to sleep for awhile... tell... tell... tell her good... night."
Ghaleon turns his head to keep Visions from seeing him cry.
"Momma?"
Alisia opens her eyes and looks upon her daughter.
"Visions. You've always been such a good girl. You've grown into a mature woman, even though I've always treated you like my little baby. You take care of you father for me now. Stay sweet my little girl... momma loves you!"
Alisia kisses Visions, and the girl begins to cry.
"I... I will momma! I will! You get better now... please momma!"
She embraces Alisia, and soon Viscera escorts her out.
Alisia looks upon Ghaleon, and they embrace each other crying.
