Visions prepares to unleash her Dragon's Gale upon Nall, when Leo appears behind her, stabbing her in the back of her injured leg.
She hollers and stumbles back, while Nall once again Dragon Slaves her.
Hurt and exhausted, Visions D'Alkirk collapses. Defeated.
Nall collapses as well, his energy depleted. Leo checks on him as well the others.
Lucia runs to Hiro's side embracing his battered body in her arms, hoping to ease his pain. She looks toward Stasia, whom was checking on Visions.
"Fa... ther..." wheezes Visions "I... have..failed..."
Leo and Nall look on at Visions, Nall with slight concern in his eyes.
"Visions, can I ask a question if I may?"
"Speak, White Dragon."
"Who are you? You claim to be Ghaleon's daughter, but you look like and carry the same last name of my distant friend Jessica D'Alkirk. You owe us at least that."
"An explanation huh? Hmph. Okay. I am Visions D'Alkirk, the only child of Alisia and Amano D'Alkirk. My real father had died when I was 2 days old, and my mother had met, befriended and fell in love with dear Ghaleon when I was 6 years old. Ever since I was 7, he has always been there for me. To tuck me in at night, tell me bedtime stories, and even looked after me when mama passed away 2 years ago. Ghaleon's my father, the only family that I've got left."
"So... you are descended from Kyle and Jessica D'Alkirk?" asks Lucia. "They were two of Althena's last heroes."
"That's what papa says," answers Visions. "And you defeated him. Had not the Mamamega retained and restored his spirit, I'd lost him forever."
Visions staggers to her feet and grimaces at Hiro.
"Don't think that we're friends just because I've explained myself. I've answered your question, that's all."
"But..." stutters Nall. "I... thought you... understand why..."
"Oh, I understand all right! I understand... that weak people... join forces to combine power. Hmph! I admire you warriors! Farewell!"
Visions uses her remaining energy to teleport away.
Stasia looks at Leo and quotes:
"You've won an impressive battle, I'll leave the girl in your company a little while longer."
Stasia disappears as well, leaving Lucia with Nall and Leo. Nall changes to the White Dragon and flies everyone's battered bodies back to Sara's palace.
Stunned, Sara helps Leo with his battered comrades and gets them to a room with numerous beds, where they can recover from their lethal battle.
"I'm amazed that you're still alive," quotes Liege. "Young Alkirk must've concentrated her fury on ther other three. They're pretty f'd up."
"Yes, she was without a doubt a most worthy opponent," sighs Nall. "I just wish that I knew some more about her."
"Just rest," quotes Sara. "Tomorrow I'll send you back to your world. You are in no danger here, so please relax."
Nall and Leo do as Sara asks, while Liege steps out for a bit she walks down to the front of the Astrostar Palace where she lies and sleeps.
Noticing someone's presence, she quickly snaps to. It was "Leona" in the overdressed flesh.
"Salutations, Leo, you're looking quite lovely this night."
"Miss Liege, may I ask you a question?"
"Shoot."
"Why are you and Sara going so far out of your ways to help us? I mean, if someone knew about your helping us, you'd be in serious trouble. Why?"
"You wanna know the truth? Okay, I'll tell you. You remind me of someone in particular that I was in love with when I was roaming the land of Ys. I loved Chester so, but he died... for my sake. They... they killed him... just to get to me."
Liege stands up to wipe away a tear, and throws her short ponytail back, eyeing Leo.
"I've never spoken of it... I don't know why I tell you now, except... I see his strength in you. Tomorrow you leave back for Lunar. Watch your back. Visions' defeat will make it back to this very palace where one of the Shrine Knights might be dispatched to retrieve Lucia once more. All of them are much stronger than Visions, and more determined. Try to reason if you can. Well, the night grows young..."
Liege kisses Leo and walks off into the palace. Smitten by her beauty, Leo looks after Liege.
The following morning, Hiro and gang are somewhat recovered, and prepare to leave back to Lunar. As Hiro looks around for Sara, he runs into a young blue haired lady whom evil eyes him and walks off.
"Strange..."
He finds Sara talking to Lucia downstairs, and uses the time to thank her for her hospitality and kindness.
Sara smiles and tells Hiro to always follow his heart, and to expect a response. Sara then speaks a strange incantation and Hiro and gang are enclosed into a brilliant white light.
The light fades away, and Lucia was able to open her eyes.
"We're back on Lunar!! Oh thank you, Sara!"
They materialized in front of Hiro's house, where upon Gwyn and Ruby greet them heartily.
"Hiro? Oh HIRO! I'D KNEW YOU'D BE ALRIGHT!" screams Ruby, running up to him. She takes note of his wounds and Nall's as well.
"Geez, that woman must've been tougher than expected."
"She was," quotes Hiro. "Zophar pales in comparison to her power and tenacity. Even though we knew her weakness, she still put up one HELLUVA fight."
"One thing's for sure," quotes Ronfar. "Visions D'Alkirk has earned my respect."
"We've still to await a response from her higher ups." states Jean. "This isn't over yet."
I don't think so..." sighs Leo, looking into the sky. "I have a feeling that everything's going to be just fine."
Ronfar looks at Leo in awe, but he suddenly realizes,
"Leo, you were really taken with Liege weren't you?"
Leo just looks beyond the horizon.
"Hey, relax little bro! You'll see her again."
Ronfar comforts Leo as they head back to Larpa.
"Jean, Nall, Hiro, Lucia! It's been fun, but my family's waiting for me. You two take care of each other!"
Ronfar and Leo depart as Jean and Nall prepare to leave as well.
"Sorry to leave on ya too Hiro," states Jean, "but the carnival awaits me, and I also have to find out about my father, and past."
"You know where to find me Red!" shouts Nall. "I'm going to check in on Lemina. See ya later!"
Jean and Nall then leave.
Lucia hugs Hiro and collapses in his arms. She was still exhausted from the ordeal, and she had missed her husband.
Hiro picks her up and carries her back inside the house. They have both been through a confusing and perilous battle that had still left so many questions unanswered. Was Althena back? Why did Lucia sense her presence in Southerland? What was Visions true story? It didn't really matter any more to her. She was reunited back with Hiro, proving that the only power stronger than that of humanity was that of the human heart. The power of one's love.
Hiro kisses her, and drifts off to sleep.
