Althena's Heroes

Visions arrives at the gate to Southerland and cheerfully greets the guardian, a side of her unseen by anyone before.

"Angela! Long time no see! How've ya been?"

"I've been fine, more or less," greets Angela. "How's your mission turning out Miss Visions?"

"Almost accomplished," answers Visions. "I've to return this girl to Althena, wherever she is. Is my dad around?"

"I last saw him and Darshu hanging around the cathedral," answers Angela. "You might still be able to catch him if you hurry."

Visions thanks Angela and takes Lucia toward Sara's Palace. Lucia was then overcome by a strange yet familiar feeling that nearly claimed her consciousness.

"What's with you?" asks Visions. "Do we need to rest?"

"I... I sense... Althena's presence here..." stutters Lucia. "But it can't be..."

"Well DUH!" blurts Visions. "I've been trying to tell you from the get-go, but naaaaaaaaw, you don't wanna believe anybody. I'll let you talk to Aunt Sara, she'll answer your questions."

Jean and Miria arrive in Larpa, and Jean immediately runs into Leo by the general store.

"Lord Leo! Long time!" greets Jean. "How's the couple doing?"

"Just swell!" smiles Leo. "Ever since Mauri had little Rina, Ronfar has given up his gambler days and has settled down to become a full fledged father. Me, I spend my time spoiling my little niece! I'm an uncle, it's my job."

"That's nice to hear," greets Miria. "I'm glad that you're doing better these days Leo."

"Lady Miria?!" shouts Leo. "I didn't know you were here! Please, stop by the house for awhile. We've much to catch up on!"

Jean agrees as they head over to Ronfar and Mauri's.

Mauri was inside rocking Rina to sleep, while Ronfar recognizes Jean and greets her heartily.

"Jean!!! It's been three years! How've you been doing all this time?"

"I've been great!" greets Jean. "I've seen that you've become quite the father figure! But to the crux of the matter, Miria and I seriously need your help."

Ronfar sits down and takes his straw out of his mouth. "You know I'll always help ya out, but what's the problem? You look quite serious."

Miria steps forth and informs Ronfar of everything that has went down in Vane. The house was dead quiet thereafter.

"Ghaleon's daughter..." worries Leo. "This could be a problem."

"Have you contacted Nall and Ruby?" asks Ronfar. "They need to know. Damn I wish Hiro and Lucia were here."

"Ronfar, I hate to ask you to leave your family like this," states Jean. "But if we don't stop Visions now, there won't be much a world for Rina to grow up in. Remember, WE were the ones that defeated Ghaleon a second time."

"She's correct." states Leo. "There's no doubt in my mind that Visions won't hunt us down as well. We cannot defeat her alone."

A sad face falls upon Ronfar as he looks toward Mauri and his little one.

"No need to say a word," states Mauri. "We have to ensure that our children have a safe future to look forward to. Just be careful."

Ronfar hugs Mauri tightly and kisses her as he and Leo depart with Miria and Jean.

"I'll take care of him sis," assures Leo. "Don't worry."

With that, they leave for Hiro's house.
