Unable to comprehend or much less match Jean's new strength, Ronfar and gang leave it to Nall.
"Nall's getting thrashed," quotes Hiro. "We've got to help him!"
"What can WE do chief?" asks Ronfar. "We could barely touch her."
"Go for her tail," answers Sara. "If you can cut off her tail, she'll turn back to normal."
Shocked, Leo turns around and eyes Sara.
"Why are you helping us? Aren't you and Visions..."
"If you don't hurry, innocent people may loose their lives. Visions doesn't always think about her actions before she does them."
With no time to waste, Hiro jumps up and aims his Poe Sword attack at Jean's tail, but he misses. Leo executes his Flash Blade, and nicks the tail before Jean punts him across the area.
Jean tosses Nall aside and picks up Hiro, squeezing the life out of him.
With Leo unconscious and Nall dazed, Ronfar yells for Jean to stop, but she doesn't listen. She continues to squeeze him to death.
Hiro closes his eyes, prepared for the worst, when Jean suddenly loosens her grip and begins to revert back to normal.
Ronfar watched as a silver-haired woman seemingly appears out of nowhere and slices Jean's tail off. She catches Hiro as Jean drops him and places him on the ground.
Jean reverts back to her normal self, but unconscious and completely naked.
Sara covers Jean up and carries her back inside while the woman picks up Leo and does the same.
Nall reverts back as well, looking at Ronfar with confusion in his eyes. All Ronfar could was shrug his shoulders and follow Sara.
Back in the palace, The woman introduces herself as Liege, swordswoman of the Astrostar Temple.
"Thank you Miss Liege," wheezes Hiro. "I owe you."
"Yes you do," answers Liege. "How about starting with an explanation?"
Hiro updated Liege as to what happened on the Blue Star till Jean's transformation.
"Hmm, interesting," quotes Liege. "You came all the way from the Blue Star to die against impossible odds in an effort to... ahem, rescue , Althena's own avatar from her. Most interesting."
"I will NOT lose," growls Hiro. "Lucia's my wife. And I WILL rescue her."
"Listen to yourself," states Liege. "Visions is not like Zophar, and she's not a fool. She's going to think before she attacks, and wipe you out. I'm not trying to insult you, but I'm imparting the facts to you that I know. Beat Visions, and you'll have to deal with that handsome hunk of Zalbag. You're out of your league here. I'd advise you to leave while you can. Jean's little freak show wasn't unnoticed and Viscera was dispatched to take care of it. I just beat him to the draw. "
"I don't care whom I fight against," states Hiro. "I'm going to rescue my wife. And that's the bottom line."
"Grrrr! Put your disguises on, NOW," orders Liege.
Leo and company comply, but Hiro was a bit hesitant, and Liege threw him under Sara's table. She foots him completely through the covers just when Viscera and Delita had entered the building.
"Ah, Viscera," quotes Sara. "A pleasure. You don't stop by as much as you used to."
"Sara, Sara," answers Viscera. "As charming as ever. I have to apologize for my extended absence. Reimi's been keeping me kind of occupied."
"Amen on that," agrees Delita. "Setsuna's already given me two gray hairs. But to the crux of the matter, word has gotten back to the Mamamega that there was a slight... disturbance here. What's going on?"
"Visions had a bit much to drink," answers Liege. "That's all."
"What, AGAIN?! " laughs Viscera. "That girl just can't hold her own alcohol."
"Let the devil scold someone for being bad!" laughs Delita. "What about you last month, after the Astrostar purification ritual? You were..."
"ALRIGHT! ENOUGH!" shouts Viscera. "So I got plastered once too. SUE ME!"
"We're sorry to disturb you and your company Sara," apologizes Delita. "We'll take our leave."
Delita and Viscera exit the palace, Delita still ragging on Viscera about his B.A.C level. "Hey Viscera, I heard that Lair once found some blood in your alcohol stream!"
"SHADDAP!!"
"That was close," states Liege. "Had that been Kenshin or Darshu, you'd be dead already."
She wipes the sweat from her brow and throws her hair back.
"I won't interfere with this, but if you truly wish to challenge young Visions, then follow the paved road headed toward the left till you reach a tall hill with a patio perched atop. There you'll find Miss Stasia and Miss Visions. If you win, return here. I'll return you to your world."
"Why are you being so kind to us?" asks Leo. "We're truly grateful, but... why?"
"No one knows better that I how it feels to lose the person you love." answers Liege, with a tear in her eye. "Well... maybe Viscera. But he has no class, and really doesn't count!"
"Thank you for your kindness, Miss Liege." answers Hiro. "Well, let's get going."
"Wait," shouts Sara. "Take this."
Sara hands Hiro a bag of supplies and a couple of Silver Lights.
"Do NOT underestimate Visions. She is smarter and more powerful than anyone you might've faced. Don't let your guard slip, not even for even a second."
Ronfar agrees and everyone else heads out. Without Jean.
They follow the road that Liege had pointed out to them, and admire the scenery around them. Nall notices a small structure atop a hill in the distance, and everyone quickly picks up their pace.
They make it to the base of the hill and run up the road all the way to the top, not even stopping to catch their breath.
There, they find Lucia, Visions, and a strikingly beautiful woman whom was playing a small harp. Lucia lifts her head and shouts Hiro's name, thus catching the attention of Visions and the woman. Visions face melted from one of surprise to that of sheer hatred. The woman was startled as well, she sat up and changed her harp into a long bow.
"Hi cutie, miss us?" smiles Ronfar.
"It's time to settle this Visions," states Hiro. "Release my wife, NOW!!!"
"Miss Stasia, I've got this one," quotes Visions. "No need to cancel your playing, this won't take long."
Nall once again freezes when he sees Visions. Her resemblance to Jessica D'Alkirk was far beyond uncanny.
"Jessica... stop... please..."
"My name's NOT Jessica, it's VISIONS!"
"Your games are up woman!" growls Leo. "Release Lucia, and I might let you live!"
Nall snaps out of his trance and his eyes begin to burn with rage.
"You... you're not Jessica! Jessica would never act as pathetic as you! It's time her descendant learned some respect!"
"YOU DARE MOCK ME?!" booms Visions. "I hope you're up to date on your prayers to Althena, because I'm going to tear through you guys like a bunch of crazed dogs... and have some fun !"
Visions throws her cape back and evil eyes Hiro.
"Ready to die ?!"
